The Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area works within six northwest Alabama counties (Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone and Morgan) to protect, preserve and promote cultural heritage in the Tennessee River Valley. Originating as a grassroots effort, the MSNHA partners with historical and educational sites as well as businesses, communities and individuals to share the area’s stories with visitors and residents alike. MSNHA’s three themes are music, Native American heritage and the Tennessee River.
